The Magic Duel
This is my favourite episode now…
For one huge BUCKING reason…
It is a pony version of the movie A Fistful of Dollars. (Which a western remake of the movie Akira Kurosawa, Yojimbo.)
In A Fistful of Dollars, Clint Eastwood’s character gets beat up and escapes to a cave where he trains.
In MLP: FiM, Twilight Sparkle loses a magic duel and gets exiled, going to the forest to train.
Then there are people hanging (both of high standing in the town) in the middle of where the two duel…
And finally… Both main characters trick the person they are dueling against.
Fistful of Dollars and Yojimbo are two of my most favourite movies ever and seeing a MLP episode that pulls a lot from the episode makes me really happy. This is my number one favourite episode now! :D
